Indian Ringneck Parakeet (Psittacula krameri) — A medium-sized, highly intelligent parrot native to India, Sri Lanka, and parts of Africa. Indian Ringnecks are easily recognized by their sleek build, long tail, bright coloration, and the distinctive neck ring seen in adult males (typically black and rose-colored).
Indian Ringnecks are known for their sharp intelligence, independence, and excellent talking ability. They are curious, alert birds that enjoy interaction but also value personal space. With proper socialization and training, they can form strong bonds with their caretakers and learn extensive vocabularies with clear speech.

Weight: 4–5 ounces
Lifespan: 25–35 years; some live 40+ years with excellent care
Diet: High-quality pellets, vegetables, leafy greens, fruits, nuts, and seeds (in moderation)
