At Exotic Pets 701, we prioritize the safe, efficient, and secure delivery of every exotic animal we ship. This policy outlines how we handle packaging, shipping, and delivery to ensure the health and well-being of your new companion. By placing an order with us, you agree to the terms below.
1. Shipping Carriers
Reptiles, Amphibians, Fish & Insects
We ship exclusively through FedEx via Redline Shipping, a trusted live-animal transport service specializing in reptiles, fish, amphibians, and invertebrates. Redline ensures controlled temperatures, proper handling, and rapid overnight service.
Exotic Birds (Parrots, Parakeets, Cockatiels, etc.)
Exotic birds are shipped only through Delta Cargo’s Live Animal Program, following all USDA, DOT, and Delta requirements for safe avian transport. Delta Cargo provides climate-controlled holding areas, secure aircraft transport, and species-specific handling.
2. Shipping Method
Redline Shipping (Reptiles, Fish, Insects, Arthropods)

Overnight Priority to minimize stress.

Insulated packaging, heat or cold packs, and moisture control based on weather.

Temperature-controlled logistics via Redline’s live-animal network.
Delta Cargo (Exotic Birds)

Same-day air transport via Delta’s “Live Animals (AVI)” program.

Birds must be shipped in IATA-approved travel kennels with ventilation, absorption material, and proper labeling.

Birds are held in climate-controlled facilities before and after flight to maintain health and comfort.
3. Shipping Schedule

Reptiles, Fish, Insects:
Shipped only on Tuesdays to avoid weekend delays. -
Birds (Delta Cargo):
Shipping is scheduled based on Delta Cargo flight availability, typically Monday–Thursday.
Buyers must be available to pick up at the destination Delta Cargo office immediately upon arrival.
4. Pickup Requirements
FedEx / Redline Shipments
Buyers must pick up from the FedEx Hub on Wednesday morning, ideally before 10:30 AM or as soon as arrival is confirmed.
Delta Cargo Shipments

Birds must be picked up within 1 hour of landing at the Delta Cargo facility.

Government-issued ID is required at pickup.

Delta Cargo tracking and airway bill number will be provided.
Failure to pick up on time voids the Live Arrival Guarantee.
5. Shipping Destinations
We currently ship within the United States only:

Delta Cargo: Delta Cargo airport locations that accept live-animal shipments

6. Live Arrival Guarantee
We guarantee live arrival only if all of the following conditions are met:

Proof of Life: The animal must be inspected immediately upon pickup, and proof of life must be confirmed at the time of receipt.

Timely Pickup: The package must be picked up on time from the designated carrier hub.

Accurate Shipping Information: Correct and complete shipping information must be provided at checkout.

Legal Compliance: The buyer is responsible for ensuring that the species purchased is legal to own and receive in their local and state jurisdiction. Orders placed in violation of local or state laws void the Live Arrival Guarantee.
This guarantee is void if:

Pickup is late

Incorrect address or Hub is provided

Weather holds prevent safe shipping

The buyer violates state or federal wildlife laws
7. Legal Compliance
Buyers are responsible for confirming local, state, and federal regulations regarding:

Fish

Insects and invertebrates
Exotic Pets 701 will not ship any animal to jurisdictions where ownership is restricted or prohibited. - no Hawaii
8. Indemnity and Waiver
By purchasing, the buyer agrees to:

Hold Exotic Pets 701 harmless for delays or mishandling by FedEx, Redline Shipping, or Delta Cargo.

Acknowledge that live-animal shipping involves inherent risks.
Our responsibility ends once the animal is handed off to the carrier, except in cases of our negligence.

10. Rate Adjustments
